Research on Seismic Wave Delay and Amplification Methods in the Shaking Table Test of Large-Span Structures in Mountain Areas

The traveling wave and slope amplification effects should be considered in the shaking table test of large-span structures mountain areas. Based on structural characteristics site conditions a structure area, this paper designed high-rise steel frame with viscous dampers through finite element analysis to amplify seismic waves time delay. Then, original models similarity ratio 1/40 were made for tests. results showed that reasonable could delay waves, scaled model play same role Meanwhile, by comparing responses areas before after delays, it was found had little impact acceleration response structure. In contrast, played dominant change displacement response.
